Click on the link on the left appropriate to your computer (MacIntosh computers running OS X, or Windows computers).
Windows users: First save "InsightWin.zip" and extract all files. Navigate to the directory you created when you extracted the files, and run the program named "installInsight.exe". Choose "Typical" not "Advanced" installation. When done, a new group will appear on your program menu called " Luna Imaging", and a new shortcut will appear called "Insight 5.6".
Mac users: First save "InsightMac.zip" to disk and unarchive all files. Next open the folder which will be called "InsightInstall". Run the program in this folder named "installInsight". Choose "Typical" not "Advanced" installation. During installation you will have a choice to create an alias (program icon) for Insight 5.6 in the Dock, on the Desktop or in your home folder.
All users: This version of the Insight Java Client is pre-configured to login automatically to the Digital Projects server at University Libraries. However, if you are prompted for a login and password, then the files may not have unzipped correctly. Simply open the directory or folder where you first saved the installation zip file, and look for the file named "Insight.dat". Copy this file to your installation directory, replacing the existing file. (For windows users the default installation directory is "C:\Program Files\LunaImaging\Insight 5.6". For Macs look first in the "Applications" folder for the "LunaImaging" folder, and then for the folder named "Insight 5.6".)
